My approach to photography is rooted in a fascination with the individual—boring, ordinary—pieces that make up any given space. Each part tells a small piece of a larger story, like novellas that are at once individual and self-containing, yet ultimately contributing to a story much bigger than themselves. I enjoy bringing peripheral details of a scene into focus—those pieces that, though small, are very worthy of our attention.
